Bryan University offers a Master of Public Health (MPH) as well as associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs in similar fields. The MPH helps students become better versed at handling complex health care issues and identifying the needs of the general public in terms of their health care. Bryan University is a for-profit university that offers programs in health care, computer science, paralegal studies, and other fields. Dr. Mildred T. Bryan established a small school in 1940 that she called the Bryan Stenotype School. Her first three students learned shorthand and related skills that helped them find work as secretaries and court reporters. Later known as Bryan College, it became part of Alta Education, LLC and began expanding beyond a single campus in Tempe, Arizona. The first campus that it established was in 2005 in Sacramento, California. Bryan grew even larger when it gained the authorization needed to add bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, which led to it becoming Bryan University. Though BU offers classes online and on various campuses, it has a reputation for preparing students for careers in health care and similar fields.
Bryan University Accreditation Details
As a career school and training institute, BU has accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Bryan University Application Requirements
Bryan University has an information form that students can submit to learn more about any program. Tuition and Financial Aid
In the MPH program at BU, students pay $12,600 for the first year in the program and $6,000 in the second year. They’ll pay another $4,500 for the third year of the program. Some students may need to take a 16-week course in the fourth year, which will add another $2,000 to their costs. The online MPH program includes the cost of all resources and textbooks into these costs. Undergrads pay $14,925 in their first years and $14,900 in their second years. Their costs then drop to $10,000 for the third year and $5,000 for the fourth year for students enrolled in a bachelor’s program. BU will also cover the cost of the student’s books and membership in a gym too.
BU offers military discounts for students who are on active duty and accepts the GI Bill and similar benefits awarded to veterans. Students who do not qualify for these programs may get federal or state aid when they file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Some of the scholarships available from the university go to students who do not qualify for traditional financial aid and those who need help paying their expenses.
